Cinnamon Bittern

Female bird

As I eager to know how many could be crakes, rails and bitterns underneath the growing paddy,  these bitterns came out one after another. Cinnamom popped out quite closer and the female farther away.  No crakes or rails seen but spotted a male breeding WATERCOCK .  Happy birding.

Tools: Canon EOS 20D + Canon EF 100-400mm IS Lens.

  1. Hi Sinooorita. I think this bird is actually a female Cinnamon Bittern. Good birding, Dave.

  2. Thank you very much, digdeep, for correction. Happy birding
