Banded Kingfisher

Thought of to rest from birding today but I just could not when Mr. Ben Duncun call me and asking me if I go birding somewhere because he want to follow. Then since most of the time I go birding alone and decide to go together. The birding place we go is very silent and could see one or two birds. In the morning we get Orange-bellied Flowerpecker and Brown Fulvettas flocking in number of around 10. While in the afternoon we get a little exercise from the kingfisher. We sight also Drongo Cuckoo and probably other cuckoo and two species of Malkoha. This is a female bird which I always want at least to see if I have no chance to photograph it. Happy birding.

In between of the day we fill our time with this cicada while waiting birds to come.

  1. A great set of pictures. Very striking bird. I bet they are hard to see in a woodland - very well camouflaged.
