Watercock

This bird is quite large as big as the black-backed swamphen. I am not sure about this bird but the feeling that this is a male non-breeding bird. Hope one day shall have a chance to see the male-breeding with long red frontal shield.

Happy birding.

Red Avadavat

These small birds are very active this morning. Hardly seen without binoculars. I caught one of them yesterday at late afternoon. Appealing again this morning for better images. These thus far best images I manage which are better than yeasterday one. Rare birds to be found here in Kota Kinabalu. My first time seeing them on the field and is my lifer.

Black-collared Starling

The padifields have been ploughed and I visit the fields for three days now - morning and afternoon. There is no new species that I can add to my bird list. Common birds on the paddifields are Juvenile Java and Chinese and Purple Herons and Wood Sandpiper and Egrets.
Uncommon are these Black-cllared starling and Oriental Pratincole.

TEST - Digiscoping System Shake

Here I test my digiscoping system for effectiveness of my shutter release support

Please refer here:

In this picture I even try to use the Tripod head handle to stop further any shake may occur to the digiscoping system. It helps as well to prevent any shake.
My test result are compare as in the picutre. Picture on the left is better image while on the right slightly blur.
Here can not be seen much which picture is better but the left picture below is for the left picture above which actual picture cropped only.
This woman is rubbing her eyes and want to take her bath. It looks like she is having an eye-sore or sleep very late!!!!
Soooo improve your digiscoping birding system so that no SHAKE and get a good, better, best SHOT!!!!

Happy birding....
